Unleashed Social Ventures is the premier impact investing and social enterprise consulting club at the University of Notre Dame. The club was founded in 2013 with the vision of using the power of capital to create a better world.

Projects

Thanks to our partner network, Unleashed offers the opportunity for students to gain real world experience and network with industry professionals. Project topics change semester to semester based on the business need from our partner and student interest. Each project team typically consists of two student project leaders and approximately 6-8 student members.

Guest Speakers 

Each semester we welcome prominent industry leaders from across asset classes and industries to share their experiences with groups of Notre Dame students. We typically open up these events for the entire campus community with speakers visiting campus in person or speaking over Zoom. In the past we have heard from Tim Connors from Pivot North Capital, Katherine Collins from Putnam Investments, and John Beckham from MicroVest Capital Management.

Training Events 

With the help of the Mendoza library staff, Unleashed hosts a series of ESG research workshops for underclassmen to understand investment terms, evaluate current trends, and utilize available resources in the business library. Students have found this training to help in their project work and within the classroom too. More information on the resources available to students can be found here: https://www.library.nd.edu/business. We regularly partner with the Notre Dame Institute for Global Investing to promote various investing opportunities and resources to students.
